Nock Nock is a simple app which allows you to monitor your websites for maximum uptime!

The app will automatically knock on the door of your websites (or web servers) on a chosen interval to make sure they are up and responding successfully. If something is wrong, you get a notification telling you so.

How does it check if your server is up? An HTTP GET request is made, the response code is checked. Nock Nock can also do custom validation on the response, by searching for a term, or even by executing a custom block of JavaScript.

Nock Nock is open source! Contributions (pull requests) are very welcome.

4 ★ Good, but could you let us set a timeout to define if the site is offline or not? I use it to check a site with a slow server and it's often David Onter on November 15, 2016

5 ★ Awesome. It'd be great to be able to configure the intervals per power setting. E.g. every 2 minutes when plugged in, every 30 minutes on battery etc. Also, a graph of response times would be Steve Edson on August 05, 2016
4 ★ Make sure you put the protocol in front of the URL. Otherwise you get a malformed URL Bret Zamzow on July 29, 2016

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.
